Liz Zito is a multi-media artist and humorist based in Brooklyn NY. With a focus in drawing, painting, photography, and video, Zito uses her work as a tool to subvert main stream systems. Zito humorously dissects deeply ingrained power dynamics within politics, religion, education, pop culture and western civilization, creating work that lives happiest outside the confines of traditional art spaces. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, and on NBC Nightly News.
Zito has been working in Education for the past 20 years and is currently the Assistant Director of IT and Exhibitions at Columbia University School of the Arts. She lives in Brooklyn NY with her dogs Cream Puff and Cricket.
